No Bonuses This Year: Low-Cost Reward & Recognition Strategies to Motivate Employees

Duration: 90 minutes

Employee recognition is mission-critical for maintaining morale, productivity and retention, but often monetary rewards aren’t possible or don’t make business sense.

The end of the year brings additional pressure. Many employees are eagerly awaiting bonuses and many managers and HR professionals are nervously preparing to break the news: no bonuses this year.

The good news is that there are low-cost alternatives to monetary bonuses that effectively recognize and motivate employees in the absence of financial rewards.

But beware – misguided recognition and reward programs can send mixed messages and have a negative impact. When a token of appreciation goes awry, at best time and effort is wasted; at worst, morale nosedives.

In this 60-minute webinar, Valerie Grubb will lay out the most common mistakes companies make with employee recognition. She’ll give you a blueprint for creating a recognition program that’s aligned with your company goals and in sync with the needs of today’s workforce.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Topics to be covered include:

  • Five killer mistakes companies make in recognition programs – and why they make them
  • The Top 10 employee motivators and how they should form the foundation for your recognition and non-monetary reward program

  • Going beyond productivity and morale: how recognition can lead to higher revenue for your company
  • Motivating your managers to incorporate employee recognition into their daily routine
